How to sign in and sign out safely

Signing in opens the live Oernoe apps. Signing out closes the session on a machine you should not trust overnight. This how-to covers account.oernoe.com/auth/login as seen on the live tour, SSO behavior across product hosts, and recovery without leaking secrets.

Signing in opens the live Oernoe apps. Signing out closes the session on a machine you should not trust overnight. This how-to covers account.oernoe.com/auth/login as seen on the live tour, SSO behavior across product hosts, and recovery without leaking secrets.

1. Open account.oernoe.com/auth/login. Confirm the hostname.
2. Use Continue with Google, or email and password. Use Show password if you need to verify typing. Use Forgot password if you need a reset.
3. Complete a TOTP code if you enabled two-factor authentication.
4. Submit Sign in.
5. Open a product host you need—docs.oernoe.com, drive.oernoe.com, chat.oernoe.com, ai.oernoe.com, health.oernoe.com, or tracker.oernoe.com—and confirm the session is recognized.

How-To describes HTTP-only, SameSite session cookies and automatic validation across services so you are not re-entering the password for every switch. Private windows, other browsers, and cleared cookies mean new sign-ins. You do not need to sign in to read www. Search can run ordinary queries without a login.

## Sign out

Sign out from the product’s Logout or Account controls rather than only closing the tab. Closing a tab is not logout. On a shared computer, also lock or close the password manager and do not leave an authenticator unlocked.

## Sessions

Inspect active sessions periodically. Terminate stale ones. After travel, a new phone, or signing in somewhere unusual, review again. Unknown session: terminate it, change the password, and write support@oernoe.com with the time—never with secrets.

## Forgot password and lost 2FA

Use Forgot password on the login page. Check spam. If mail never arrives, write support from the account address or explain which address was used. Using an account is explicit: we will not reset an account because a stranger asked in a chat window. If 2FA is active and you lost the device, use a stored backup recovery code.

## Safe SSO habits

Move between Docs, Drive, Chat, AI, Health, and Tracker while the session is valid without treating that convenience as permission for products to merge private stores. Identity recognition is not data fusion. Tracker check-ins are not Chat transcripts. Health notes are not Search listings. Docs Document, Spreadsheet, and Presentation files are not www ads inventory.

Do not approve 2FA prompts you did not initiate. Do not paste passwords into look-alike domains. Essential cookies keep auth working; blocking everything can look like a mysterious logout. Product apps and Account should not load AdSense; selected www pages may.

## Closing note for “How to sign in and sign out safely”

This page’s reader job stays fixed on the title above. Neighboring journal essays cover other hosts and policies. Open the live product beside How-To when you need screens. Prefer the September 17, 2026 service-tour labels when older marketing conflicts. If a live screen and this essay disagree, write hello@oernoe.com with both URLs.

## Publisher and ads boundary worth repeating

www.oernoe.com is the publisher hub for About, Journal, Guides, How-To, Contact, and legal pages. Selected finished Guides, How-To pages, and journal essays may load Google AdSense with non-personalized requests by default. ads.txt at the site root names publisher id pub-9477175344230263. Home, About, Team, Contact, legal pages, the journal listing, the guides index, login, signup, password reset, and the product applications themselves—Search, Chat, AI, Docs, Drive, Health, Tracker, and Account—are in the published exclusion set for that ads script. Search queries typed at search.oernoe.com are not sold, not retained as advertising profiles, and not used as AdSense input. Older site-wide “ad-free” or “zero tracking” promises were false once the publisher used AdSense; Corrections already said so in public. Keep those sentences true at the same time.

## Account security baseline from How-To

How-To’s security module still matters beside every product essay. Use a password manager. Choose at least twelve characters with upper and lower case letters, digits, and symbols. Enable TOTP two-factor authentication from Account Settings → Security with a standard authenticator app. Store emergency backup recovery codes in an encrypted vault offline from the primary password. Inspect active sessions periodically and terminate stale browser sessions. Sign out on shared computers. Forgot password lives on account.oernoe.com/auth/login. Never send passwords, one-time codes, or session cookie screenshots to support@oernoe.com, privacy@oernoe.com, or hello@oernoe.com. You must be at least thirteen; under eighteen needs a parent or guardian.

## Live product labels from the September 17 tour

Docs shows creation cards labeled Document, Spreadsheet, and Presentation, with work saved to Oernoe Drive and a quota on the order of two gigabytes in empty state. Drive offers Upload files, New folder, and filters for All types, Folders, Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, and Uploaded files. Chat shows New Chat, Friends, Requests, Settings, and Logout under a private direct line. AI is branded Noevik, with Noevik 1 and Noevik 1 mini, Ask Noevik, Thinking Mode, Create Image, and Upload image among visible controls. Health’s landing names Track Metrics for steps, sleep, water, calories, and weight, plus Build Streaks and Social Challenges—without treating marketing user counts as verified facts. Tracker is a personal life tracker with Today, Habits, Homework, School, Relationships, Check-ins, Focus, Insights, Reminders, and Notifications. Mail has not shipped.

## Privacy request mechanics that belong in public writing

Write privacy@oernoe.com from the email on the Oernoe account. Say whether you want an export, a deletion, a correction, or a restriction. Name hostnames when you can: Search, Chat, AI, Docs, Drive, Health, Tracker, Account, or www. How-To also describes Settings → Data Management → Request Export and account deletion under Account Security with password confirmation. Deletion is irreversible after confirmation and removes data from active production databases on the published timeline. Deletion does not unwind third-party web pages Search indexed and does not erase Google’s copy of a prior ad request on www. Use Google Ads Settings for ad choices. Incomplete mail gets a question back; legal threats go to legal@oernoe.com; copyright follows DMCA; bugs go to support@oernoe.com.

## Cookies notice on www in plain language

The dark notice titled Cookies and Google ads explains that selected Guides, How-To, and journal pages may show Google ads; that essential cookies keep accounts and security working; that Google may use cookies on those publisher pages; and that the bar is a notice, not a consent choice. OK only hides the notice and stores a first-party flag that is not an advertising identifier. Controls typically include Privacy, Cookies, Ads Settings, and OK. Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy carry the durable legal text. Blocking essential cookies may break Account functions. This notice does not mean Search sells queries, and it does not mean product apps load AdSense.

## Contact and corrections culture

Oernoe is a small team. Include the hostname, browser, and approximate local time when you report a bug. “The site is broken” is not a hostname. Editorial corrections and stale-map reports can go to hello@oernoe.com. Partnerships and other inboxes exist on Contact, but privacy and support should stay in their lanes. Public writing is issued as Oernoe Editorial Team. Anoepal operates the network. Journal essays in this rebuild target eighteen hundred to twenty-two hundred words of original, specific writing because thin pages already failed a publisher review. Word count does not rescue a brochure; naming live hosts, live controls, and honest limits does.

Keep credentials boring, shares narrow, launches honest, and privacy requests specific. Keep publisher advertising facts on www separate from Search query promises. Keep Tracker personal; keep Docs labeled Document, Spreadsheet, and Presentation; keep Drive filters aligned; keep AI branded Noevik in the product UI. Keep Mail unreleased until Home says it has shipped. Keep journal prose free of vanity user counts and free of Angel-byline attribution.
