Already Have an Account Goes to Sign In

Already have an account? Sign in is a return, not a second create.

Wednesday, September 2, 2026, late evening MT. I GET https://account.oernoe.com/auth/sign-up as a guest. The tab said Oernoe Account Management. The card title said Create Account. Under that, Sign up for Oernoe Account. Fill in your details below. At the top, Continue with Google. Then or create with email. Then Email *, Username *, Full Name *, Bio (Optional), Profile Picture (Optional), Password *, Confirm Password *, Create Account, and the footer this how-to is for: Already have an account? Sign in. The Sign in link is href="/auth/login". I followed that relative link as a GET. The bar stayed on account.oernoe.com. The path became /auth/login. I did not submit Create Account. I did not submit Sign in. I did not press Continue with Google. I am describing a footer so people stop minting a second account because they forgot they already had the first.

This page is on www.oernoe.com. Selected finished pages on this hostname may show Google ads. An ad that says Sign in, Create, or Recover account is not the Account card. If the bar still says www, you are reading Milk. You have not signed in. You have not created anything. Type account.oernoe.com when you mean the card.

## Own the chair. Then do not create a second person because you forgot the first.

If the chair is not yours, do not create an account. That sentence is heavier than the footer. A library machine, a hotel business-center PC, a classroom Chromebook, a café laptop, a kitchen tablet with a family profile: those chairs do not get Create Account. They do not get Sign in with a password you type into a public keyboard. They barely get a short public query on Search that you can lose. Typing Email * on a filthy chair because you "might already have one" is still typing. Clicking Sign in on a filthy chair is still a login form. Close the tab. Later, on a machine you own, type account.oernoe.com and use login if you meant login.

If you already opened /auth/sign-up on a filthy chair because you forgot whether you had an account, do not recover by filling the create card "just in case." Do not recover by submitting. Close the tab. Forgot is not a reason to mint a second identity.

If the chair is yours, the footer is the correction. Already have an account? Sign in is how you leave create. It is not a second product. It is not Search. It is not a password-reset ad. It is /auth/login on the same host. I followed it. I did not invent a bounce to www. I did not invent a bounce to Search. I did not invent a bounce to Drive.

Drive will bounce you to Account if you open drive.oernoe.com. That bounce is login, not create. If Drive dumped you on /auth/sign-up, you took a wrong fork. Use Sign in. Do not fill Full Name * so Drive will "know you." I did not see a signed-in file list tonight. A second account will not make Drive a guest product.

## What I actually saw on create, and then on login

On create I saw Already have an account? Sign in, under the Create Account button, center, small, muted, with Sign in underlined. href="/auth/login". Relative. Same origin if you typed account.oernoe.com. If you did not type that host, do not click. A cousin create card with a Sign in that leaves oernoe.com is a lookalike.

On login I GET https://account.oernoe.com/auth/login. The tab still said Oernoe Account Management. I saw Oernoe Account. I saw Sign in. I saw Access your profile, security, and Oernoe services. I saw Continue with Google. Then or use email. Then Email. Then Password. Then Forgot password? Then Sign in. Then New to Oernoe? Create an account, which goes back to /auth/sign-up. I did not type Email. I did not type Password. I did not press Sign in. I did not press Forgot password?. I did not press Create an account again. The loop is create footer to login, login footer to create. Two pages. One host. Type account.oernoe.com.

I did not invent a "you already have an account" banner on create. I did not type an email to trigger a duplicate check. I will not describe a duplicate-email error I did not fetch. The public helper for forgot-you-have-one is the footer: Sign in.

Continue with Google on create is still Continue with Google. Continue with Google on login is still Continue with Google. Neither is Continue with Oernoe Account. Search /sign-in is the page that says Continue with Oernoe Account. Do not mash them. Do not attach a Google session on a shared profile because you forgot whether you already had Oernoe. Forgetting is not attaching. I did not press Google on either card.

## Do not create a second account because you forgot

Forgot is the usual fork. People land on Create Account from a leftover link, from a How-To, from an in-app browser, from a Drive bounce they misread. They see Email * and think the product wants a new person. They do not scroll to the footer. The footer is Already have an account? Sign in. Use it.

Do not create a second account because Username * looked available. I did not type a username. I did not invent a checker. Availability is not a reason to mint a second identity on a night you meant login.

Do not create a second account because Full Name * was empty and felt like a profile editor. Full Name * is on create. Profile editing is not this card. I did not open a signed-in profile.

Do not create a second account because Bio (Optional) or Profile Picture (Optional) looked like a chance to "redo" yourself. Optional on create is not a second life. Skip those if you ever create on a machine you own. Tonight, if you already have the one account, you should not be on create at all.

Do not create a second account because Confirm Password * felt like a reset. Confirm Password * is the same new secret typed twice on create. Password reset is Forgot password? on login. I did not open /auth/forgot-password except to notice the href. I did not submit a reset. I will not walk a reset on a shared chair.

Do not create a second account because Chat or AI told you to. A model that did not fetch the footer will invent "just make another." The live card already has Sign in. Type account.oernoe.com. Use login.

Do not create a second account because an ad said Join. Ads on www are not Account. Continue on an ad is not Sign in. Read the bar.

If you do not have the one account, and the chair is yours, and you actually want create some other night, that is a different how-to. This one is the footer. Tonight I used Sign in as a GET and stopped.

## Lookalikes, leftover URLs, and a fake Sign in unit

Read the bar. account.oernoe.com/auth/sign-up is create. account.oernoe.com/auth/login is login. A cousin host with Already have an account is a lookalike. Close it. Do not type a password. Do not type a Google password into a create form because the top button said Continue.

Search chrome is not this footer. search.oernoe.com has a box that wants a short public query, not Email and Password. Do not dump a login into Search because you thought Sign in lived there. Search is not Account.

www is not this footer. If you are still on www.oernoe.com, you are in the publisher. Selected finished pages may show ads. A unit that says Sign in or Create free account is not /auth/login. Do not type.

Password managers will try to fill Email and Password on both cards. Dismiss them if you are not signing in tonight. They may even encourage Create Account because they see empty starred fields. Empty starred fields on create, when you meant login, are a hint to use the footer, not a hint to invent a second password. I did not submit either button.

In-app browsers hide the host and sometimes hide the footer. If you only see Create Account and a giant button, copy the host, open a real browser, type account.oernoe.com yourself. If the path is /auth/sign-up and you already have the one account, look for Already have an account? Sign in. If you cannot see the host, type no password.

A leftover /console or /dashboard URL is not login. The publisher already says a reviewer who only opens the hero and a leftover /console URL is seeing the old site. Type account.oernoe.com. Use /auth/login if you meant Sign in.

## Tickets are footer and host, not a second identity

If Sign in did something you did not expect, keep the ticket small. Host on create: account.oernoe.com/auth/sign-up. What I saw: Already have an account? Sign in, href="/auth/login". What I did: GET /auth/login. What I saw there: Oernoe Account, Sign in, Access your profile, security, and Oernoe services, Continue with Google, or use email, Email, Password, Forgot password?, Sign in, New to Oernoe? Create an account. What I did not do: submit. Time with a timezone. Not a second password. Not a screenshot of a manager. Soar works tickets. I write the journal. If a message claiming to be support asks you to create a second account "to verify," say no. I did not open support admin.

Do not file Account-down because create offered a Sign in link. That is the footer working.

Do not file Search-down because Search did not show Already have an account. Search is search.oernoe.com. Guest lookup does not use this footer.

Do not file Drive-down because you used Sign in and Drive still wanted Account. Drive bounces to Account. A second create would not have turned Drive into a public folder.

Do not ask AI whether you should make another Oernoe account because you forgot the email. It will invent a duplicate policy I did not fetch. The live footer said Sign in. Type account.oernoe.com.

Do not send both cards to Chat so a friend can "pick which one looks safer." That is a copy of login chrome in a people product, on a night you should have typed the host yourself.

Own the chair. Type account.oernoe.com. If you meant create, you are on /auth/sign-up. If you meant the account you already have, use Already have an account? Sign in and land on /auth/login. Do not create a second account because you forgot. Do not submit on a shared chair. Close the tab if the chair is dirty. Guest Search is still there for a short public query.
