What to Put in an Oernoe Support Ticket

Titles, hosts, and timestamps. Not your document, not your Health note.

Support is not a diary, and it is not a leak.

I am writing this at the end of August 2026. The desk is support.oernoe.com. Soar works tickets there. I do not. I write the journal. This page is for you, the person about to paste a novel into a box because something felt broken.

A useful ticket is small. Host. Time. What you saw. What you expected. What you already tried. If you cannot say those in a few lines, you are not ready to file. Write them on paper first. Then file.

www.oernoe.com can show ads. That is this publisher site. Do not file "Search is tracking me" because you saw a unit on a journal page. Those are different hosts. I will keep saying that.

## Look at Tracker first

Before you write that "Oernoe is down," open tracker.oernoe.com. If it asks you to sign in, sign in. Open status.oernoe.com too if it loads. If Search is marked weird and your tab is spinning, you learned something. Put that in the ticket. "Tracker showed X at 10:41, my timezone is America/Denver, search.oernoe.com sat on a spinner." That sentence is worth more than three paragraphs of mood.

If Tracker looks fine and only your laptop is dying, say that too. Hotel Wi-Fi, a school filter, a browser extension that eats logins. We cannot see your extension list unless you tell us you have one. You still should not paste the list of every shopping coupon add-on you own. "I use a blocker" is enough.

If both Tracker and your tab look fine, maybe do not file. Refresh. Sign out and in on a machine you own. Then decide.

## What belongs in the ticket

The host. search.oernoe.com, docs.oernoe.com, health.oernoe.com, chat.oernoe.com, ai.oernoe.com, drive.oernoe.com, music.oernoe.com, support.oernoe.com, tracker.oernoe.com, www.oernoe.com. Pick one. If you do not know, look at the address bar before you leave the broken page.

The time, with a timezone. "Tonight" is not a time. "Aug 27 around 10:40 PM MT" is a time.

What you clicked. "Sign in," "save," "send," "download." Not a story about your day.

What the screen did. Spinner. Blank. Error text, copied as text, not as a screenshot of your document. Signed in as the wrong person. Download missing.

What you already tried. Refresh, another browser, phone versus laptop. Two sentences.

A dummy. If the editor ate a page, say whether a dummy page still works. If Chat will not send, say whether a message that says "test" fails too. Dummy failures are gold. Real-content failures are how secrets travel.

## What does not belong in the ticket

Your document. Your Health note. A screenshot of either. A password, even "so you can log in as me." A recovery code. A classmate's name and grade. A client's file. The body of a Chat message. A full query log. A paste of /legal/privacy with your commentary in the middle.

If support needs a sample, make a new dummy that says "sample" and describe that. Real pages stay off tickets.

If you are angry, wait twenty minutes. Angry tickets become novels. Novels become leaks.

If the problem is another user, that may be a report, not a support ticket. Reports go through the account side. I am not Mark. I will not walk you through a ban. I will tell you not to paste the other person's profile into a ticket "for evidence" if a link and a timestamp will do.

## Screenshots

Crop. Then crop again. The useful screenshot is the error and the host. The useless screenshot is your whole desktop with Drive open in another window, a notification with a name, and a bookmark bar that is a biography.

If you can copy the error as text, prefer text. Text searches. Screenshots of text do not.

If the bug is visual, a cropped image can help. Strip the content. If you cannot strip the content, do not attach it.

## Accounts versus tickets versus music versus journal

Wrong password, locked out, someone in your account: that is an account problem. Support may still take the first message. Do not put the new password in the ticket.

A track that should not be up: that is music review, not a journal comment, not a Chat to a stranger named Joe. File through support with the track URL if you have one. Do not attach the audio file "so we can hear it" unless someone asks. A URL is enough to start.

A journal typo: you can mention it. We will live. Do not file a P0 because a sentence was ugly.

Ads on this page: publisher site. Not Search. Say www.oernoe.com if the unit is here. Say search.oernoe.com if the unit is there. Mixing those wastes a day.

## A template I would actually use

Host: docs.oernoe.com
Time: 2026-08-27, 10:40 PM MT
Signed in: yes
What I did: opened a dummy page titled "dummy-827", typed one sentence, reloaded
What I saw: the sentence was gone
What I tried: reload, another tab
Tracker: looked normal to me
I am not attaching the real paper.

That is a ticket. You can write worse. Please do not write longer.

## After you send it

Do not send a second ticket five minutes later with the same story. If you have a new fact, add it to the same thread if a thread exists. If you found it was your extension, say so. Closing the loop is a kindness.

If someone from support asks for a dummy, give a dummy. If they ask for a screenshot, crop it. If they ask for a password, they should not. Do not give it. Say no and ask for another path.

I cannot promise a time. I will not invent an SLA. Tracker and a small ticket are still the fastest honest path I know.

## If you are about to paste anyway

Stop. Copy the ticket into a notes app. Delete every name that is not yours. Delete every sentence that is not host, time, action, result. Then paste what is left. If what is left is three lines, you did it right.

If what is left is still a page, you are writing a blog post. That is my job. Yours is the three lines.

Host. Time. Dummy. No body. That is the whole desk from this side of the journal.

## Timezones, duplicates, and follow-ups

If you do not know your timezone, say the city. "10:40 PM in Boise" is usable. "10:40" is a coin flip against a server clock.

If the form duplicates your send, do not file three more. Note the time of the first send and wait. Duplicate piles hide the dummy that would have solved it.

If you fixed it yourself, say so. "Extension was the problem, you can close this" is a complete follow-up. Silence makes people chase a ghost.

If you got a reply asking whether a dummy fails, answer that question first, in one line. Then add color if you must. Do not paste the original novel again.

## Accessibility and language

If the page is unusable with a keyboard or a reader, say which host and which control you could not reach. You still should not attach a recording of your Health screen. Describe the control.

If you need to write in a language that is not English, write in that language. Add one English line with the host if you can. Do not run the whole ticket through a translator that you then paste into AI along with the document. The ticket is the ticket.

Three lines beat a memoir. Host, time, dummy. If you remember that when you are mad, you already filed better than most.
