Something feels broken. Search is slow. Chat will not send. A tab sits on a spinner. The useful move is boring. Look at Tracker before you write a novel in a ticket.
This is how I use Oernoe Tracker at the end of August 2026. I am not watching graphs all day. I am telling you an order that wastes less time.
www.oernoe.com is the publisher site. Journal, legal pages, the brochure. It can show ads. That is the page you are reading. Tracker lives at tracker.oernoe.com. It is for service health. There is also a public status surface at status.oernoe.com. If both load, use them together. If one asks you to sign in, sign in. If one is a short table of a few services, that is still more useful than a guess.
Do not report that Oernoe is down because the journal felt slow. Ads, hotel Wi-Fi, or a single CDN pop can make one page ugly while Search is fine.
Here is the ritual. Try the thing again in a private window. Cached junk is real. Open Tracker and see if the service you care about is already having a bad day. Open Search in another tab. If Search works and Chat does not, that is a clue. If nothing works, that is a different clue. Then, if it is still wrong, write support with a time and a URL.
People skip the first two steps and start from a vibe. That is how a ticket becomes a rant.
A bad report says everything is broken. A better report says chat.oernoe.com, 7:12pm Boise, signed in, message send spins, Tracker showed Chat as operational. Include the browser if you know it. Include phone data versus Wi-Fi. Do not paste a password. Do not screenshot your whole desktop with Drive files visible.
If Tracker already says a service is degraded, you can still ticket. You do not need a theory about hackers. We can see the same flag.
Slow can be you. Down is usually more than you. If Search loads and results appear, even ugly ones, that is not down. If the host times out from two networks, that is closer to down. I test with phone data after Wi-Fi fails. I test with a second browser. I do not test by posting is-it-down in five chats. Those chats become the outage.
Tracker is not a promise that every pixel on every host is green. A public table can lag. A login-walled Tracker can show more than the public page. Neither is a courtroom. Tracker is not 911. If you need emergency services, use the real ones. A brochure for alerts is not a fire department. Tracker is not proof you were banned. Account issues go through support and the account desk. Tracker does not decide TOS.
It will not resurrect Mail or an Android app we already said did not ship. If that is what you wanted, the older honest journal posts already said so.
Services I bother to check: Search, Chat, AI, Docs, Drive, Health, Tracker itself, and the publisher site. If you came for Music, read the archive first. A green row on Search does not mean a waitlist product is live.
This journal can show ads. Search is built so queries are not used to build an ad profile. Those are different jobs. If the layout looks crowded, that is a publisher problem, not a reason to skip Tracker. Google wants pages that teach. A status how-to is a real page. A keyword essay about outages in 2026 is not. If we ever stuff this URL with five ads and two sentences, we should unpublish it.
I do not open Tracker when I typed the wrong password, used a spring bookmark that 404s, or expected a store listing that is not there. Tracker will not fix a product that is not a button. I also do not refresh it like a slot machine. Look once. Try the private window. Then ticket or wait.
If Tracker itself looks empty, say that. Tracker loaded with no rows is a report. I think you deleted the company is not. We have had login upgrades that logged people out and looked like a wipe. A logout during an announced upgrade is not automatically a site bug.
If you are on the company team, stay in your own admin. Tracker for users is not the music queue and not the TOS desk.
After it comes back you do not owe a thank-you note. If Docs did not save, say the title in a new ticket, not the contents. Then go back to Search. That is the product most people came for.
Put tracker.oernoe.com next to search.oernoe.com in your bookmarks. You will use Search more. You will be glad Tracker is there the night Chat looks dead and it is not. If both say fine and your tab is still dead, then we have something to chase. That is the point of the tool.
A few more practical notes from messy nights. If only images fail on Search, say images. If only send fails in Chat, say send. If Drive lists files but will not open one, say the file name, not the file. Precision is kindness.
If you are traveling, time zones in tickets help. Write 7:12pm Boise or 01:12 UTC, not earlier. If you use a VPN, mention it. If you do not, do not pretend a VPN would have saved you. A VPN does not fix an origin that is actually down.
If the public status page and Tracker disagree, report both. That disagreement is useful. Do not pick the scarier one for drama.
I keep this page in the journal because support tickets get better when people look at Tracker first. That is the whole benefit. Not a brand story. A habit.
Check Tracker. Then talk.
If you are writing from work, say whether you are on a corporate network. Those networks break things that home Wi-Fi does not. If you are on school Wi-Fi, say that too. Filters there will lie to you about what is down.
If only one device fails, say the device. A phone that cannot open Chat while a laptop can is not the same bug as both failing. Do not factory-reset a phone because Tracker was yellow.
If you use Reader mode or a strict blocker, mention it. Blockers can look like an outage. Turn the blocker off once as a test, then turn it back on. I am not asking you to live without it. I am asking for a fair test.
Keep a text file of times if the problem repeats. Three timestamps beat one angry paragraph. We cannot replay a feeling.
I will say this again because it keeps happening. Do not paste secrets into a status ticket. Do not paste Health notes. Do not paste Docs. Titles and times. That is the diet.
If Search results look like spam, that is not Tracker. That is relevance. Different desk, different post. Tracker is for availability. Spam is for the search journal pieces.
If the publisher site shows a weird ad layout, that is also not Tracker. That is the journal. You can still mention it to support. Just do not file it as Search is down.
Night notes: if you only ever see problems after midnight, say the timezone. Overnight deploys happen. I will not pretend they never do. A calm ticket at 12:40 beats a stack of identical tickets at 12:41.
If you are a teammate reading this, you still use Tracker as a user would before you ping Luna. Confirm it is not a local cache. Then report the admin that is actually yours. Do not wander into someone else's desk because a spinner annoyed you.
That extra caution is the rest of the page. Availability first. Secrets never in the ticket. Then we can help.
